Pigalle Tavakkoli founded the School of Experience Design to provide short online courses and bespoke team training which equip you with a multidisciplinary outlook, increased emotional intelligence and practical skillsets to design emotionally charged, unforgettable experiences.

Experience Design is a human-centred approach which moves you beyond simply designing the form and function of a product, event or service, to also craft the emotions, memories and behaviour change they activate.

ABOUT

Pigalle Tavakkoli founded the School of Experience Design to empower you and your teams to create emotionally charged, unforgettable experiences. She combines deep thinking with practical know-how, and strategic focus with creative vision. Her inspiring and grounded approach is based on working as a producer for 15 years, testing and refining her methods through teaching and team training for 12 years.

She is a multidisciplinery specialist in working with artists and scientists, having devised immersive events, programmes, installations and pop-ups which merged live and digital platforms for clients such as the V&A, Science Museum, National Portrait Gallery, Barbican Centre, multiarts festivals such as Latitude, Shambala, Wilderness, and brand activations such as Arm&Hammer, Atlas Obscura, Marmite.

Since 2012, Pigalle co-developed and teaches the UK’s first course in Experience Design at the University of the Arts, London, which is ranked second in the world for art and design education. She has received the Empowering Learning Journey Hero award from Educators for Impact, a European consortium of academies, businesses and networks. This is in recognition for the innovative multidisciplinary methods she has developed, and success with cohorts developing their careers, projects and practices globally. She is also an Associate Lecturer at London College of Communications, London College of Fashion, GCU London, and for the MBA programme at IESA arts and culture school, Paris, France.

Pigalle also develops bespoke team training and consultancy for organisations and brand clients such as the Institute of Physics, EUROFusion, The Guardian, Pukka Herbs, Unilever. She is a Founding Member of the World Experience Organisation, a global network of pioneers, and an international keynote speaker.
